Chef 'n Thyme is owned by Laura Cole. Laura studied at Silwood School of Cookery, one of the best cooking schools in South Africa. During her studies at Silwood she learnt the art of food as well as how to 'respect' each ingredient.

During her second year she was lucky enough to work in four of the top 10 restaurants in South Africa. Namely The Test Kitchen(Luke Dale-Roberts, Waterkloof(Gregory Czarnecki), The Greenhouse(Peter Tempelhoff) and Hartford House(Jackie Cameron).

 

Laura then completed a BCom degree. While studying she worked as a part time food styling assistant for companies such as Taste magazine, Yuppie chef, recipe book development and Carol Boyes.

Laura and her team of three workers started Chef 'n Thyme in 2016 and now do catering for weddings and functions in and around the Midlands.
